Announcing EOB Adjustment
Stigler, Oklahoma— September 22, 2021 —Effective Immediately, Haskell Regional Hospital announced they would write off the portion of the bill not covered by insurance to accommodate the citizens of Haskell County and surrounding areas.
In an effort to ease the burden of having to travel out of town for health care needs, Haskell Regional Hospital will now adjust/write off the portion of the bill not covered by insurance due to the hospital’s current out-of-network status. We trust this courtesy will help ease the fear and frustration of using an out-of-network facility and provide patients with financial peace of mind while seeking care locally.
“To better accommodate the citizens of our community and to avoid having to travel out of town due to an insurance conflict. Haskell Regional Hospital is pleased to announce we will now write off the portion of your bill that is not covered by your insurance,” said Cheryl Paulsen, Business Office Manager at Haskell Regional Hospital.
PLEASE NOTE: Once the patient has a service performed at our facility, we will submit the claim to the insurance company. The patient should receive an “explanation of benefits” or “EOB” when the claim is processed. The patient must then take the EOB and any payment made to the patient by the insurance company to the HRH Business Office. The HRH Business Office will review and adjust/write off any non-covered costs, reducing your out-of-pocket responsibility.
